In receipt of the best possible service for you and your dog, clients of Ellie's Groom Room should attend appointments at regular intervals as recommended by Ellie.

All prices are quoted ‘from £’ and are based on a number of different factors and therefore subject to change.

​

Failure to turn up for an appointment without a valid reason will result in a 100% charge of the normal cost of your groom and must be paid prior to any further appointments. If you do not turn up to more than two appointments you will no longer be considered a client at Ellie's Groom Room.

Cancellations made within 24 hours of your appointment without valid reason will result in a 50% charge of the normal cost of your groom and must be paid prior to any further appointments.

We pride ourselves on our one-to-one service, so remember that you wouldn’t want someone else's negligence to affect your appointment slot so please respect our strict timed appointments. Should you arrive late for your appointment you may be turned away and asked to rebook with a 100% charge of your appointment. You must pick up your dog at the time given and failure to do so without prior notice will result in an extra charge of £5 after the first 15 minutes. This goes up by £5 every 15 minutes.

The Animal Welfare Act states that ‘no animal should ever suffer from pain or discomfort’ and therefore all matted dogs that are unable to be brushed out will be clipped as short as deemed necessary. Matted dogs will be charged extra due to the damage it causes to equipment. These are charged upwards of £10 depending on severity. If you allow your dog to become severely matted on more than one occasion we have the right to report you to the relevant authorities. This is a form of neglect that we take very seriously. Please also be aware that the groomer will not be held liable for any pre-existing health problems that arise from clipping off a matted dog, or any additional side effects as a result.

Dogs presenting with fleas will incur an additional charge of £5 to cover the cost of basic fumigation and cleaning. Any major infestations could incur a higher charge to carry out a deep clean. This is at the discretion of the groomer.

We will not be held liable for any pre-existing health conditions that may be exposed as a result of the grooming process. If your dog requires emergency vet treatment they will be taken to the nearest veterinary surgery. All expenses must be covered by the owner in the event that the groomer is not liable. It is important that your contact details are up to date especially for such instances.

Pregnant bitches or those in season will not be groomed under any circumstances and failure to notify us before arrival will result in a 100% charge of your appointment.

If your dog has required veterinary attention within the 14 days prior to your appointment please contact us to give us the opportunity to rearrange if we deem it necessary. Failure to do so that results in refusal to groom will be charged for at 100% of the normal appointment cost. We also reserve the right to refuse to groom your dog if we believe it requires immediate veterinary attention.

We understand that not every dog enjoys the grooming process and that some may become aggressive. Dogs that are showing aggression and posing a threat to themselves or myself will be sent home regardless if the groom is completed or not. This will still be chargeable. As a one-to-one groomer, I cannot put myself at risk of injury and therefore reserve the right to refuse to groom your dog should I feel it’s necessary.

Parking can be found directly in front of my house. Please do not park in my neighbours spaces or block any vehicles in. If you cannot park outside there is ample road parking available.

​

Your dog should have had the opportunity to go to the toilet before attending an appointment. Please do not allow your dog to urinate in my garden. We have a small patch of grass beside the car park where you may allow your dog to do its jobs. You will be charged if your dog requires a poo bag so please come prepared.

We pride ourselves on our work and love taking photos for social media, advertising and sometimes just for our personal records. Should you prefer for us not to use photos of your dog on social media or advertisements please state below. Please note that we may still take photos of your dog for our personal records but they will not be published anywhere.
